Where high-performance skiing meets cutting-edge software — and the future of improvement begins

Hi, I’m Tomás — alpine skier, software engineer, and founder of BeBetterSport — and someone who’s been obsessed for years with one simple idea: how technology and AI can help athletes perform better, progress faster, and truly understand their technique.

Skiing has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. As an alpine skier, I competed at the highest levels: I won national championships across all alpine disciplines and represented my country at the Youth Olympic Games, Youth World Championships, and the Olympic Universiades. Those years shaped how I think about performance — where marginal gains, consistency, and feedback make all the difference.

In parallel, I’ve always been deeply curious about technology. That curiosity led me to study Software Engineering at ITBA — starting from almost zero technical background. What began as a challenge quickly became a passion for building products, designing systems, and turning complex ideas into real-world solutions.

My professional career has always been rooted in startups and high-growth environments. I’ve worked with international teams, including Bosscat in the United States, and I’ve spent most of my career founding and leading technology-driven companies.

I’m the founder of Snowmatch, today the largest ski platform and community in the Southern Hemisphere, where skiers, instructors, and technology come together to redefine how skiing is learned and experienced. I’m also the co-founder of Spacepal, a platform designed to remove friction from event organization and make life easier for organizers.

Across all these projects, my role has gone far beyond writing code. I’ve consistently led multidisciplinary teams, designed products from zero to scale, and acted as the bridge between commercial vision and technical execution — translating business needs into scalable technology and aligning engineering teams with real user value.

For a long time, my two worlds — elite sport and high-end technology — evolved in parallel. The rise of AI finally allowed them to converge.

Today, with tools like video analysis, machine learning, biomechanics, and real-time feedback, we can give athletes insights that were once reserved for national teams and elite programs — and make them accessible to everyone.

That vision is what led to the creation of BeBetterSport:
a place where high-performance athletes and advanced technology meet, making skiing more engaging, more measurable, and continuously improving.
